Things To Do In Southern California
Aside from the numerous outdoor activities available in the Pine Mountain Club area, Southern California is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the United States. San Diego and Los Angeles are the most popular destinations in the area for tourists, and for good reason.
Los Angeles is the closest large city to
Pine Mountain Club. It lies about 87 miles to the southwest of us and is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, drawing millions each year. Aside from the popularity the city has gained through television and movies, there are numerous museums, theme parks, parks, and other attractions that make it a great place to visit. Disneyland is of course one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Los Angeles. You can meet all your favorite Disney characters and enjoy heart-pumping rides all in one place. There are numerous museums, ranging from the more traditional Los Angeles County Museum of Art to the more quirky Museum of Jurassic Technology. On top of this, there are endless dining and shopping options that Los Angeles is famous for.
San Diego offers plenty of things to do in Southern California for everyone. San Diego is famous for its gorgeous La Jolla (pronounced “La Hoya”)
Beach, perhaps one of California’s nicest beaches, and the world-renowned San Diego Zoo. At the beach in La Jolla it is common to see California Sea Lions basking on the rocks off the shore. Coupled with the sand between your toes, the breeze in your hair,
and the sounds of waves crashing and seagulls, La Jolla beach is truly one of the nicest beaches in Southern California. The San Diego Zoo is one of the largest, most progressive zoos in the world, housing over 4,000 animals ranging among more than 800 different species. It is extremely active in conservation efforts and the protection of endangered animals such as California
condors, pandas, tigers, and African black rhinos. If you’ve never been to the San Diego Zoo, it is truly an experience you will never forget.
Pine Mountain Club’s proximity to LA and San Diego is just right. We are far enough away to escape the pollution, noise, crowds, and traffic of the big cities, yet close enough that there is always something exciting to do within a few hours drive.
